Marcela Sulak
Dr. Marcela Sulak directs the Shaindy Rudoff Graduate Program in Creative Writing at Bar Ilan University. Her paper today is part of a larger project called “Line/Breaks: Contemporary protest poetry confronting the frontier and the border in the American Imagination.”Marcela Sulak is the author of five poetry collections; including The Fault (2024), the National Jewish Book Awards finalist, City of Sky Papers (2021), and the lyric memoir Mouth Full of Seeds (2020). She’s co-edited the Rose-Metal Press title Family Resemblance: An Anthology and Exploration of 8 Hybrid Literary Genres. A translator from the Czech, French, and Hebrew, Sulak’s Twenty Girls to Envy Me. The Selected Poems of Orit Gidali, was longlisted for the 2017 PEN Award for Poetry in Translation, and her forthcoming Music of the Wide Lane by Sharron Hass, received a 2019 NEA fellowship. Sulak is managing editor of The Ilanot Review.
Dragoş Cojocaru
Dragoş COJOCARU. Professore di lingua e letteratura italiana e spagnola presso la Facoltà di Lettere dell’Università “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” di Iaşi, dove insegna dal 1995. Dottorato nel 2005 con una tesi su “La natura nella Divina Commedia. Studio storico e comparativo”, pubblicata nello stesso anno per la Casa Editrice dell’Università “Alexandru Ioan Cuza”. Ha scritto numerosi libri: Suavul suspin. Studii şi eseuri (Editura revistei “Convorbiri literare”, Iaşi, 2004), Lornionul galactic. Cu Plácido Doming prin universul operei (Editura Timpul, Iaşi, 2014), vari manuali e guide di coversazione per la casa editrice Polirom (Iaşi). Sempre per la Polirom, ma anche per le case editrici Humanitas (Bucarest) e Arc (Chişinău) ha tradotto in romeno più di 50 libri di letteratura, storia e filologia, scritti da autori italiani e spagnoli illustri come Franco Cardini, Umberto Eco, Andrea Giardina, Alessandro Baricco, Julius Evola; Camilo Josè Cela, Arturo Pérez-Reverte, Carlos Ruiz Zafón, Fernando Savater, Mario Vargas Llosa e molti altri. Dal 1999 lavora anche, prima come segretario tecnico di redazione e presto come segretario generale di redazione, presso la rivista di cultura di storica importanza “Convorbiri literare”. Socio dell’Unione degli Scrittori di Romania.

David Miller
David Lawrence Miller is a fiction writer from Chicago, Illinois and the 2025-2026 Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University. He has been a finalist for the BOMB Magazine and Zoetrope: All-Story Short Fiction Prizes, and his writing has been published in the Chicago Review, The Brooklyn Review, and elsewhere. He is at work on a novel and a collection of stories.
